Biovores are living artillery pieces, swollen with the clutch of explosive Spore Mines that they nurture within their bodies. Upon anchoring itself to the ground with chitinous spurs, a Biovore undergoes violent spasms that expel its volatile offspring in high arcs as living ammunition. From there, the gas-bloated Spore Mines detonate in a shower of bone shards and acid rain, or else drift languidly down onto the battlefield, primed to explode whenever prey draws near.

A Genestealer Cult is a community of Genestealers, hybrids and human convert-hosts. Cults form when a Genestealer infects members of another species with its genotype. The resultant changes in the genome of the host cause a fanatical loyalty to the Genestealers along with a drastic change to their reproductive systems. Their firstborn children will be Hybrids, a grotesque mixture of the host's race and the Genestealers. These hybirds infect further victims, and the infection spreads exponentially. Fourth generation hybrids produce Purestrain Genestealers, and the cycle starts once again.
The resulting brood of Purestrains, hybrids and humans convert-hosts is held together by strong psychic and genetic bonds and assembles around the original Genestealer which becomes the Patriarch. Because the cult is often hidden behind the facade of a religion or political movement, it is branded a Genestealer Cult by the Imperium.

XV8 Crisis Battlesuits are awarded to those warriors which show particular aptitude among the ranks of the Fire Warriors and only then may they join the ranks of the Shas’ui.
