  • The Army Painter - Green Stuff

The Army Painter - Green Stuff

Whether you're adhering tough to fit piece, cleaning mold lines, converting your miniatures, or even sculpting your own - The Army Painter Green Stuff is exactly what you need. The original Kneadatite, also known as Green Stuff, is a two-part epoxy used by model makers and hobbyists. Simply mix equal parts yellow and blue putty until you achieve an even green coloured putty and you're ready to begin. This magical concoction is a polymide/epoxy sealant and adhesive. It helps to adhere difficult bits and pieces, especially when used in conjunction with the "pinning" technique and super glue. When you roll it real thin it can be used to fill gaps and clean mold lines. Green Stuff hardens fast but has a flexible working time of 20-30 minuts. After only 8-hours, it should be fully dry and it can be sanded and shaved for a smooth, clean final result. When used in combination with The Army Painter Sculpting Tools and Hobby Knife, Green Stuff is the age-old choice for traditional model sculpting and conversion work.

  • The Army Painter - Mixing Balls

The Army Painter - Mixing Balls

Get the right consistency from the beginning with The Army Painter Mixing Balls. The Army Painter paints are heavily pigmented for the best possible coverage for your models and miniatures. But as pigment tends to sink to the bottom, most hobby paints tend to separate over time. But worry not! We’ve got the solution. Simply add two of our 5.5 mm stainless steel high-grade Mixing Balls into your paint bottle and give it a good shake for 30 seconds. The Mixing Balls help agitate the paint and blend these components back together, ensuring a perfect consistency for application so that your brushwork remains smooth and precise throughout your project. Heavy pigment, old paint or a combination thereof can create clumps or lumps in your paint which can ruin the smoothness of your paint job. Mixing balls (which are also sometimes called stirring balls, paint mixing balls, or agitator balls) help break up any clumps or solidified paint particles, making it easier to work with and reducing the likelihood of unwanted textures on your models. Using the paint mixing balls is a practical and cheap tool for hobbyists who want to maintain the quality and consistency of their paints. This is essential for achieving high-quality results when painting models and miniature figures. Our Mixing Balls are made of rustproof stainless steel and will not discolour your paint. Remember to use two Mixing Balls in your paint bottle. By using two, your Mixing Balls will move in a more randomised way and thus make the shaking more efficient and effective.

  • The Army Painter - Plastic Glue

The Army Painter - Plastic Glue

The Army Painter Plastic Glue is the perfect tool when assembling your plastic miniature. Most miniatures and models come in sprues and have to be assembled. This means that you will need to glue them together. With The Army Painter Plastic Glue, you can build miniature models in no time while also minimising the risk of unsightly seams or gaps between joined pieces. Plastic glue – or polystyrene cement – differs from other types of glue as it doesn’t merely stick the two pieces together; it actually melts the plastic. When the plastic glue is applied, the chemical components of the glue slightly melt the plastic surface and as the glue cures, the two pieces fuse together, creating a much stronger bond than when using e.g., superglue. The Army Painter Plastic Glue allows for precise and controlled application due to the smart applicator tip combined with the thin-flowing consistency of the Plastic Glue. This is invaluable when assembling intricate model components, ensuring that the glue is only applied where it is actually needed. Mess free, quick-setting, and only working on plastic, it is easy to use and won’t adhere to your skin. This makes it a great tool for hobbyists of all levels.
